Description
Summer is starting today for most of you guys, so I guess this is just fitting.
Name: Capuddle (Capybara + Puddle)
Type: Normal/Water
Species: Bathing Pokémon
Ability: Mud Coat*/ Own Tempo/ (Hidden: Sap Sipper)
*Mud Coat= Starts the battle by nullifying all electric-type moves. It the user is hit by or uses a water-type move, the ability loses it's effect, but it can be
restored by getting hit by or using a ground-type move.
Height: 0,5m (1'08'')
Weight: 21,5kg (47,4 lbs)
Entry:
Every morning, dozens of Capuddles can be seen communing in groups to the nearby river or lake, where they spend all day
relaxing in the water or sleeping on the sandy shore under the sun. It has a very placid nature, making it very hard to budge
it from their favorite resting spots. Because it’s commonly seen sharing bathing spaces with humans, it has been adopted as
a mascot of Tupama’s beachgoing culture.
-Capuddle-> Lv. 20 -> Torrodent-
Potential Moveset:
Leer
Bite
Mud Sport
Water Gun
Ladies and gentlemen, I present your Bidoof.
...Yeah, it's a baby capybara in a speedo. Clearly the pinnacle of fakemon designs, it doesn't get any better than this. You're welcome.
Jokes aside, after much frustration, I finally present the Tupama's route 1 normal pokemon! I originally didn't want for it to be a capybara, I was holding it for a possible water/grass type, but due to troubles in finding a suitable rodent for a pikaclone and the domino effects present in trying to find another animal for each of the quotas I had to fill, I guess a capybara will have to do. A shame it had to be a normal/water type though, I guess it's not very original compared to so many good capybara fakemons out there, so hope it's at least quirky in its own right.
At first I really didn't have any idea of what to do for a capybara fakemon, until a friend of mine noted how every time you see one they're always relaxing under the sun or in the water doing absolutely nothing all day with that same bored face of theirs. I thought it was a good metaphor for beachgoers in general, so I decided to base the design around that, it just fits the Tupama region! I can already see the region's obligatory Rio de Janeiro's inspired city being filled with Capuddles all over the beach.
Once again, sorry for the long absence!
I'm still gonna be pretty busy these next weeks, and I still can't guarantee I'll return to post somewhat frequently for now, but I'll try to do my best.
Hope you all liked it, and see you guys next time!
