Irish mythology project

Hello guys, long time no see, hope you're all doing well and all that. As always, I'm currently busy with college stuff, but, this time, busy in a way that's actually convenient for this page. That's a first! As part of a current project, I'll spending the next couple of months or so drawing some figures from Irish mythology, focusing on the mythological cycle of it, more specifically, on characters related to the second Battle of Magh Tuireadh, the battle between the Tuathan Dé Dannán and the Fomorians. You know, it's pretty much what I already do, but with some small differences. I'm currently planning to be doing around 20-25

Hey man, i checked your work with the mythical characters and they are amazing looking. I'm just a geek when it come gods and monsters, even fictional mythos such as the lovecraftian you drew.


I was just wondering and it is entirely up to you, but with the newest movie Godzilla vs Kong and the whole Monsterverse building up its own mythos, was thinking if you could add Godzilla (or Titanus Gojira) into that list since he too is a God in a way (and maaaybe the other Titans like Mothra, Ghidorah, and Kong as well)?


Again, it entirely up to you and keep up the good work here.

I did consider it in the past actually, but it feels a bit off-brand for me. Kaijus still feel a bit too recent and pop-culture-y, and don't have that supernatural edge Lovecraft has to justify it imo. :(


One I almost got close to drawing multiple times was the Pulgasari because of it's Korean folklore origins. But the movie not only has a huge controversy surrounding it, but the Pulgasari itself can be interpreted in different ways (thus affecting the character design), so always give up on it. ^^;


So, probably not, but thanks a lot for the question and interest! :)

I'm alive and well physically, everything else is still up in the air. Not really motivated to do much anymore. ^^;

I have finished stuff so I might as well post it already tomorrow or something and check up on everyone and everything I missed. Thanks for the concern as always Chev. :D
